I cover cannabis policy for POLITICO California. Before joining POLITICO, I covered local government for Richmond (CA) Confidential and interned with the Los Angeles Daily News, NBC Nightly News, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and Sports Illustrated.

I have a master’s degree from the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism and a B.A. in Diplomacy & World Affairs from Occidental College.

  • Used public records to write enterprise, investigative, and feature stories in a city of over 100,000 people

  • Reported on court cases involving land use and climate change litigation

  • Used local sources to break an award-winning story about how Richmond systematically failed to prevent vacant home fires

  • Managed Richmond Confidential’s Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram accounts
